Members of the Monmouth College Pipe Band will present a program at the next monthly meeting of Monmouth Associates on Feb. 17 at noon in the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander Room of the Stockdale Center.

In addition to playing a few tunes, band members will provide information on the history of the pipe band at Monmouth and tell their own stories about how they became interested in playing bagpipes. They will also discuss their experiences at national competitions representing Monmouth College.

The program is free; an optional buffet lunch costs $9. Reservations can be made by calling 309-457-2316 by Feb. 14 or by e-mail at mcarwile@monm.edu.

A free shuttle van transports passengers from two locations to every Associates luncheon. The van will stop at the Faith United Presbyterian Church parking lot at 11:45 a.m. and at the northeast quadrant of the Public Square at approximately 11:50 a.m. It will return to both locations immediately following the program. Shuttle reservations should be made by calling the above number.
