'Three Women – One Show'

Barry McNamara
The first installment of Monmouth College’s senior art exhibit is on display through April 8 in the Len G. Everett Gallery of Hewes Library.

Titled “Three Women – One Show,” the exhibit features the works of senior art majors Karisa Doane of Galesburg, Heather Fantetti of Downers Grove and Caitlin Mehta of Woodbury, Minn. A gallery talk and reception will be held on March 27 at 1 p.m.

Doane, who was presented the “Best in Show” honor at a campus exhibit last fall, has primarily paintings on display. Mehta’s work focuses on the college’s new community garden and includes drawings and a small-scale replica of the area. A highlight of Fantetti’s work is a colorful installation featuring kitchen utensils.

The Everett Gallery is open Mondays through Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. to midnight; Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, noon to midnight.
