ROGER HAYNES enters his 13th season as the women's outdoor track & field coach at Monmouth and his 29th as the head coach of the men's program. Under Haynes' direction, Monmouth's track program has experienced unparalleled success. The dominant team in the Midwest Conference since 1990, the Fighting Scots women have won 14 of the last 16 outdoor track & field conference titles. 

 

Monmouth's women have won 130 outdoor individual and relay conference titles and the program can claim 104 NCAA Outdoor National Championship qualifiers and 37 outdoor All-Americans. A former school record holder in the high jump, Haynes graduated from Monmouth in 1982 and also held the college record in the javelin throw (205'8") until 2010. In 2007, Haynes was named the Division III Men's National Coach of the Year for the indoor season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. He was inducted into the Monmouth M-Club Hall of Fame in 1997. Haynes also serves as Monmouth's Athletic Director and as an instructor in the Department of Physical Education.
