ROGER HAYNES is in his 29th season as the outdoor track & field coach at Monmouth and his 13th as the head coach of the women's program. Under Haynes' direction, Monmouth's track program has experienced unparalleled success. The dominant team in the Midwest Conference since 1990, the Fighting Scots men have won 15 of the last 17 outdoor track & field conference titles, including their current streak of 11 straight crowns.

Monmouth's men have won 269 outdoor individual and relay conference titles and the program can claim seven national champions (five since 2005), 136 NCAA Outdoor National Championship qualifiers and 59 outdoor All-Americans. A former school record holder in the high jump, Haynes graduated from Monmouth in 1982 and also held the college record in the javelin throw (205'8") until 2010. In 2007, Haynes was named the Division III Men's National Coach of the Year for the indoor season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. He was inducted into the Monmouth M-Club Hall of Fame in 1997. Haynes also serves as Monmouth's Athletic Director and as an instructor in the Department of Physical Education.
