Datuk Dr. Md. Hamzah Bin Md. Kassim ’76
 
Datuk Dr. Md. Hamzah Bin Md. Kassim ’76 is co-founder and CEO of The IA Group, an emerging management, technology and human capital consulting firm in his native Malaysia, with offices in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. His career spans government, multinational firms and enterprise start-up. He previously served as executive director and partner of Ernst & Young, vice president of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and a member of PA Consulting Group. He earlier held senior government positions in in the field of industrial R&D management and public policy on technology development, serving on such national bodies as UNCTAD and Islamic Development Bank IDB.
 
During the financial crisis of 1996-97, he served as board member of financial institutions to assist in crisis management. In 2006 he was the consulting adviser to the National Implementation Task Force, which oversaw the high impact project of the 9th Malaysia Plan. He was appointed by the Prime Minister in 2009 to the National Economic Advisory Council, which was tasked to develop the New Economic Model. He is currently a member of the Review and Operational Panel to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
 
In the last 15 years he has led a number of complex advisory assignments in Malaysia and the region on merger integration, business transformation, economic and institutional reform and IT transformation. He holds a Ph.D. in business from Aston University and an MBA from Texas Christian University.
