Sherry Bair

Academic Biography:
When people ask me what I do, and I tell them I teach math, the vast majority groan and claim they were "never good at math". Virtually everyone is capable of being mathematically proficient. Unfortunately, data continues to show that a large number of US high school graduates are not. I firmly believe this is the fault of the way mathematics has typically been taught at the K-12 level for many decades. I wanted, and still want, to change that.
