Cheryl L. Meeker
Academic Biography:
I am fascinated with the construction of clay objects and have been for many years. Monmouth College is a small liberal arts college and my classes are small so we can enjoy getting to know each other and the material we work with -- clay!
Research Interests:
Mostly my research interests are involved in throwing, throwing, throwing and learning more about glazes and firing techniques. I've been doing this for at least 30 years and it's still surprising to me wha you can do with a clay piece and a little glaze. I also like to travel with students to Greece, Rome and Turkey and other areas to enlighten myself and our students on the various cultural ideas they have learned in our art history classes.

Creative Activity is working with clay, glazing, firing and unloading kilns and soliving problems in the studio.
