Advising

We see you, meet you where you are
and help you find where you want to go.

Advising the whole student

Our holistic advising helps you articulate personal, educational and career goals and make plans for accomplishing those goals. Our goal is to help you reflect on your goals and plans and revise them when necessary. We want to enable you to make these decisions for yourself and develop the tools for you to continue moving forward after you leave Monmouth.

Finding an advisor

Each entering student is assigned a faculty advisor. If you are a first-year student, this will be the instructor for your “Introduction to Liberal Arts” course. As you continue at Monmouth, you are free to select and work with any member of the faculty that fits your needs.

Beyond the faculty advisor

We’ve set up a network designed to help you succeed. Our whole campus is your support system. Our academic support staff, Student Success team, Student Affairs staff, librarians, coaches, peer tutors and career services are all here for you. For general advising questions, visit the Center for Academic and Career Excellence, located in Hewes Library, includes Academic Support the Accessibility Services Office, the Office of the Registrar, the Wackerle Center for Career, Leadership & Fellowships, Service and Volunteerism, and the Office of Global Engagement
